Organizations have historically used relational databases to store all business data. However the amount of data generated in companies has increased dramatically in the last few years. The advent of cloud databases has led to an increase in data storage requirements, an increase in digital data, increased Internet usage, and improved broadband facilities and cloud computing. Cloud databases; however do not operate without successful repository services focused on the cloud. Cloud-based database management includes two types, management of transactional data and management of analytical data.
