Humanistic And Existential Theories

Submitted by • May 7, 2019

The existential approach emphasizes on six propositions: all humans have the capacity for self-awareness, everyone should assume the responsibility that accompanies freedom they have, and everybody has a unique identity that is only revealed via relationships with others. The others include, each person should persistently recreate themselves since the meaning of life is not fixed but continually changes; anxiety is part and parcel of the human condition, and lastly, death is a basic human condition that shows the essence of life. The key question that this approach asks is “How do I exist?” when confronted with uncertainty, conflict, and death.
